The TD21 was an organic progression from the preceding TC series cars, designed and built by Park Ward, eminently reliable and stylish coachbuilders from Rolls-Royces, they were well put together, enjoyed a stiffer chassis than before allowing sporting performance and a top speed of over 100mph from its three litre, six cylinder engine without too much trouble. Braking came from discs all round, from 1960 onwards, and the convertible version looked great from all angles, quickly ensuring the high standards of design and engineering of this motorcar now became extremely collectable.

Dispatched new to Brooklands of Bond Street on the 10th October, 1960, 6568D comes with an extensive history file showing over £4,000 of work completed by marque specialists, Red Triangle, since 2014. Importantly, this is a matching numbers example with factory fitted chrome wire wheels and a Borg Warner, three-speed automatic transmission. This luxurious Alvis also retains the original off-white, special option Reutter reclining seats with contrasting blue carpets and a dark blue hood. Recent upgrades include the desirable Coopercraft four-pot caliper brakes, new brake lines and a rebuild of both carburettors. During recent ownership at Memory Lane Classics, a thorough restoration of the body using specialist craftsmen has taken place. The original colour of Alice Blue was maintained with the chromework re-plated where necessary including, as new, refinished front and rear bumpers. The burr walnut dashboard and door cappings have been beautifully restored and re-veneered by the renowned ‘Chapman & Cliff’, woodtrim restoration specialists.

This smart and quintessentially British four seat Drophead Coupé is reportedly lovely to drive with light steering on the move, a bespoke stainless steel exhaust and good brakes. Maintenance & Restoration

We decided that British classic cars were where our passions lay. The timeline was set at 40 years and older and a number of potential motor Cars were discussed, the MK1 (Frogeye) Sprite was chosen as our starting point. These cars were only built between 1958 and 1960, pioneering a Monocoque design and with very few specification changes.

We purchase a number of Frogeyes, in a variety of conditions from completely broken down to just extremely tatty.
